Our advocacy focuses on providing rapid disaster response, emergency food aid, and community resilience programs to support those affected by floods, fires, and other calamities.
Jipapad, Eastern Samar, experiences an average of eight major flooding incidents annually, each lasting between two to five days. The church serves as the primary evacuation center, sheltering displaced families during these disasters. Our organization provides emergency food support for up to three days or until floodwaters recede, ensuring evacuees receive nutritional assistance and essential supplies in their time of need.
In Tondo, Manila, fire disasters occur frequently, with four major fire incidents reported every year. Due to the high population density and fire-prone materials used in makeshift homes, the risk of widespread destruction is significant. Our advocacy prioritizes rapid fire response efforts, emergency relief distribution, and disaster preparedness training, equipping communities with the resources they need to recover and rebuild.
